For which companies is AE DISTRICT MANAGEMENT suitable?
AE DISTRICT MANAGEMENT is for all companies that own a large building or neighborhood that is to be operated in the future on the basis of renewable energies across sectors and the system performance is to be monitored in real time. AE DISTRICT MANAGEMENT increases the self-consumption of locally generated energy and reduces peak loads. This significantly reduces energy costs and CO₂ emissions.
Can AE DISTRICT MANAGEMENT monitoring and optimization be used separately?
As part of the planning phase, we already evaluate and optimize the flexibility potential of your energy system so that active energy management makes economic sense. For this case, you also benefit from all monitoring functions. If active energy management is not necessary for technical or economic reasons, AE DISTRICT MANAGEMENT can be used as a stand-alone monitoring solution.
Does AE DISTRICT MANAGEMENT need to be actively managed?
No. All functions run completely automatically in the background. Companies only need to take action in the event of faults or other relevant status messages. But we inform them about this immediately in our web app or also by e-mail.
Under what conditions am I obligated to monitor?
For residential buildings and also non-residential buildings, there are future monitoring obligations according to the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive EPBD (2010/31/EU). For residential buildings, this obligation applies to new construction or extensive renovation. For non-residential buildings, monitoring is already mandatory from a rated output of the heating system of 290 kW. It should be noted that there will be a gradual reduction of this limit to 70 kW by 2029. Note: The directive has not yet been transposed into national law, but this must be done promptly.
